Raghu Jayarama Reddy is a skilled software engineer with over 7 years of experience in distributed systems, OSS, and security. He is currently working as a Member of Technical Staff at Cohesity, where he designs and implements software to protect customer data on the Cohesity platform. He is also responsible for instant recovery, replication, and archival. Raghu is a technical member of a small team that designed, developed, and integrated an API-based newer feature for faster incremental snapshot backups. He regularly interacts with customers alongside the SRE and support team to understand use cases, problems, and issues. Raghu is an expert in compute infrastructure, microservices, data streaming, analytics, Opentelemetry, and recommendations. Raghu is proficient in several programming languages, including C++, Python, Java, Golang, Scala, Ruby, Rust, and MySQL. He is also experienced in working with various operating systems such as OSX, Linux, FreeBSD, and Windows. He also worked on building a mixed reality toolkit for enterprise customers, contributing specifically to adding image recognition functionality to the toolkit. Raghu has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Juniper Networks, where he worked on data management, transfer through ETL pipelines, and implementing APIs, connectors, and services on AWS infrastructure. Raghu holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science & Engineering from PES.
